Maycy Vu, CPA, is a Tax Manager at Haskell & White. Maycy began her public accounting career with the Firm after completing an internship with us in early 2018. As a Tax Manager, Maycy oversees the entire process of preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns for her clients. Developing milestone deadlines and ensuring they are met helps achieve all goals. Maycy primarily serves the Firm’s real estate organizations, working with entities structured as partnerships and S-Corps.

Maycy loves the challenge of public accounting, as it involves consistently learning. She seizes any learning opportunity to continue developing her career and those around her. Maycy strives to improve her efficiency and technical skills every year. She excels at time management, ensuring she has the flexibility to answer calls from clients and the team each day while leaving focus time for projects. Her clients appreciate her proactiveness and organizational skills, and her team has an excellent role model.

Maycy appreciates the opportunity to work closely with her clients to gain an understanding of their businesses and their personal and business objectives. Maycy is known for being personable with her clients and colleagues, and is someone her team can rely. She values and advocates for work-life balance and wants to ensure her colleagues have the same, constantly looking for ways to help her team and keep projects moving.

Maycy graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s in Professional Accountancy, MPAc. In her free time, she enjoys art and drawing.
