IRVINE, Calif. (January 23, 2024) – Haskell & White, one of the largest independent public accounting firms in Southern California, announced a series of promotions within their Tax Services and Audit and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) teams.

These promotions reflect the firm’s commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent and underscore the significant contributions these individuals have made to the firm’s success.

Sharon Lin, CPA – Manager, Audit and Business Advisory Services

Sharon began her career in private industry and realized that she wanted to experience broader challenges and serve a wider impact of industries that Haskell & White serves. She made the strategic transition in 2019 to public accounting and joined Haskell & White as a staff.  Her expertise now spans life sciences, real estate, and nonprofit sectors. Sharon’s consistent excellence and leadership qualities have been key to her success and rapid rise within the firm. Sharon graduated with honors from the University of California, Riverside, and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration.

Bernadeth Marshall, CPA – Manager, Tax Services

Bernadeth Marshall, who started her career at Haskell & White in October 2022, has quickly excelled to the level of manager. She will go the extra mile to research an issue for a client so they can make an informed decision and focuses on training and mentoring new professionals at Haskell & White. She is known for prompt responses and meticulous attention to detail in tax planning and consulting. Bernadeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Commerce in Accounting Management and Accountancy from Father Saturino Urios University, an MBA from Southwestern University, and recently finished her Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Derek Nguyen – Senior, Tax Services

Derek Nguyen joined the Firm in August of 2022 and has been promoted to Senior Tax Accountant. Since joining the Haskell & White he has expanded his knowledge in the area of partnerships and the real estate industry from his previous experience.  Derek’s expertise in tax matters and his commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to the Haskell & White team. Derek graduated from California State University, Long Beach, in December 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Arisve Ordaz – Senior, Tax Services

Arisve Ordaz, who joined Haskell & White in July 2022, has been promoted from Staff Accountant to Senior Tax Accountant. Prior to joining the Firm, Arisve had over two years of experience in public accounting, predominantly working with partnerships, corporations, nonprofits, and multi-state filings. Over the past year since joining the Firm, Arisve has expanded her tax knowledge base and is highly regarded for her research and year-end planning. She graduated from UC Riverside with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. 

Jolina Zhou, CPA – Senior, Audit and Business Advisory Services

Jolina Zhou, CPA brings a wealth of diverse experience to her role at Haskell & White. Her background spans private industry accounting roles at an advertising firm and a technology company, as well as a position at a public accounting firm, where she supported companies preparing for initial public offerings. In her new capacity as a Senior, Jolina will focus on mentoring and training staff, along with being the day-to-day contact for clients. At Haskell & White, she primarily serves clients in the manufacturing, life sciences, and technology sectors. Jolina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Economics from Ohio University and a Master’s in Accounting from California State University, San Bernardino, graduating with honors from both institutions. She graduated with honors from both programs.
