IRVINE, Calif. (May 14, 2015) – Haskell & White LLP, one of Southern California’s largest independently owned accounting, auditing and tax consulting firms, has been named a finalist by the Association for Corporate Growth’s Orange County chapter for its annual business awards competition.
With offices in Orange County and San Diego, the firm has been recognized in the Corporate Responsibility category due to its dedication to giving back to the community, which the firm has demonstrated for decades at every level of the organization.
“At Haskell & White, philanthropy and integrity are core principles that we take extremely seriously,” said Managing Partner Wayne Pinnell, who was named a Pink Tie Guy by Susan G. Komen Orange County in 2010 and more recently chaired a highly successful $4.5 million capital campaign for the nonprofit Laura’s House that led to a new emergency residential shelter for women and children in domestic violence situations.
On a regular basis, the firm’s 65 employees roll up their sleeves to donate funds, volunteer time and provide expertise as they serve on numerous boards. Community involvement is woven into the fabric of corporate culture, as evidenced by the company’s 2013 National Philanthropy Day Award for midsize businesses. The company encourages its team to select at least one nonprofit to support with board service and donations, but almost all support many more.

Haskell & White also runs a longstanding Casual for a Cause Friday giving program, in which employees are permitted to dress casually in exchange for contributing $5-10 per week to a special fund. Each month, the donations support a different cause.
