IRVINE, Calif. (July 1, 2023) – Haskell & White, one of the largest independent public accounting firms in Southern California, announced six promotions across their audit and tax teams.

Mayra Cruz, CPA, Senior Manager, Audit and Business Advisory Services
Approaching her seventh year at Haskell & White, we are excited to announce Mayra Cruz’s promotion from Manager to Senior Manager. Mayra works with both public and privately held middle-market companies in the field of life sciences, real estate, and manufacturing. Mayra was recently honored by the YWCA of San Diego for her work in mentoring. Mayra is a sought-out mentor within the firm, a role that has become increasingly important in the world of public accounting.
Tyler Van Stone, CPA, Manager, Tax Services
Tyler Van Stone, joined the Firm in 2019 and is based out of Haskell & White’s San Diego office. Tyler started his public accounting career at a small firm in Las Vegas, NV. Tyler primarily serves the Firm’s real estate organizations, working with entities structured as partnerships. As a Manager, he is enthusiastic about business development, seeking opportunities to broaden his client base and venture into new industries. Tyler is a team player who encourages collaboration and continually seeks out opportunities to assist others. Tyler graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Accounting.
Luchiana Cruz, Senior Accountant, Audit and Business Advisory Services
Luchiana joined Haskell & White full-time in 2021 after serving as an intern for two seasons. In her new role, Luchiana looks forward to training and coaching staff and exploring new ways to increase efficiency. She is known for her exceptional client service, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Luchiana has experience working with various industries, including real estate, medical devices, food, and real estate. She graduated from CSU Fullerton with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Kelly Nguyen, Senior Accountant, Tax Services
Kelly joined the firm full-time in July 2021 after serving as an intern in Spring 2021. Kelly currently specializes in real estate and construction. As a Tax Senior, Kelly is excited to train and supervise staff-level team members and complete day-to-day tax engagements. Kelly is self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and has strong interpersonal skills. Kelly lives in Phoenix, AZ and earned her Bachelor’s in Accounting from CSU Fullerton.
Jacqueline Olivia, Senior Accountant, Audit and Business Advisory
Jacqueline joined the Firm in 2021 and is based out of Seattle, WA. Jacqueline focuses on collaborating with her colleagues to provide the best service to the Firm’s clients. Jacqueline’s new role at the firm involves communicating with clients, working with managers to meet client needs, reviewing staff work, completing engagements, and mentoring interns and staff. She excels at multitasking and is a fast learner who works quickly and efficiently. She works with the Firm’s life science and manufacturing clients. Jacqueline is currently working towards the completion of her CPA license requirements. She received her Bachelor’s in Accounting from Anderson University and her Master’s in Accounting from Clemson University.
Yi “Zoe” Zhao, Senior Accountant, Tax Services
Zoe joined Haskell & White in 2021, after working for a small firm for over a year. Zoe works with real estate, retail, manufacturing, and technology clients. Zoe is known for her ability to understand and apply tax laws and changes in the preparation process. She possesses organizational skills, attention to detail, accurate math and accounting skills, and proficiency in quickly learning tax accounting and preparation software. Her new responsibilities in this role include reviewing Federal and state income tax returns, training and developing staff, researching and consulting on technical matters related to tax due diligence, and preparing complex tax returns. Zoe looks forward to earning her CPA license soon. She received her Bachelor’s in Accounting from CSU Long Beach and her Master’s in Accounting from the University of Miami.
