O.C. BUSINESS COMMITTEE FOR ARTS HOLDS AWARD CEREMONY Orange County’s Business In The Arts Awards honors the innovative partnering of companies and art organizations.

Hosted by the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts, the 27th annual Business in the Arts awards acknowledge local companies’ dedication to seeing the arts in Orange County continue to flourish.

Professionals from Orange County business and art communities act as judges and select honorees based on the companies’ financial support, personal involvement, quality of support program, positive impact on the arts organization and use of arts within the company itself.

The awards were broken into two categories, the First Time Award and the Distinguished Achievement Award. The 2008 recipients included Rohrer Fine Art; Super Dave’s Print & Mail Inc.; Deutsche Bank; Farmer’s & Merchant’s Bank; and U. S. Bank in the First Time Award category, and Cartier Inc.; Haskell & White LLP; Rutan and Tucker LLP; Tiffany & Co.; Bank of America; Disneyland Resort; and Wells Fargo Bank in the Distinguished Achievement Award category.

Recognized as this year’s top contributor to the local arts community and earning their seventh Distinguished Achievement Award was Haskell & White LLP. The company’s contributions included performance sponsorships, tax and audit services, and work on the boards of directors of nonprofit arts organizations. Haskell & White sponsored performances at Laguna Playhouse, South Coast Repertory and Irvine Barclay Theater.

The event was held on Nov. 23 in Newport Beach.
