IRVINE, Calif. (August 14, 2018) – Haskell & White, one of Southern California’s largest independently owned auditing and tax consulting firms, is pleased to announce the promotion of nine employees.

The Irvine, Calif.-based firm has more than 80 staff members in Orange County and San Diego, and it has been honored as a top overall place to work in Orange County as well as the best accounting firm for women in the state.

The team members who have been promoted are as follows:
Eleanor Schultz, Chief Financial Officer
Eleanor Schultz, serving most recently as director of finance and administration, has been promoted to chief financial officer. As CFO, Schultz will continue to oversee and lead the firm’s internal accounting and finance functions, human resources, facilities and firm administration. Additionally, she will play a key role in driving the firm’s overall strategic direction as well as continuing to maintain a positive workplace culture that makes Haskell & White a great place to work.
Before joining Haskell & White in October 2015, Schultz was director of finance for a multi-billion-dollar sales and marketing company. Originally from New York City and a graduate of Binghamton University, she began her career as an audit associate at a full-service public accounting firm. Schultz also held management positions at a Fortune 100 entertainment conglomerate, a media agency and a software startup before her relocation to Southern California in 2007.
Tracy McLaughlin, CPA, Senior Manager, Auditing and Business Advisory Services
Tracy McLaughlin specializes in real estate, manufacturing, service, distribution, SEC and non-profit clients, and has been with the firm for eight years. Known for her clear and frequent communication on her audit engagements, she belongs to the American Institute of CPAs and California Society of CPAs. McLaughlin holds an MBA from California State University, Fullerton and a BA in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Daisuke Terakawa, CPA, Senior Manager, Tax
With more than a decade of experience including years with high-profile multi-national firms, Daisuke Terakawa joined Haskell & White in 2017 as a manager, and within the year has been promoted to senior manager. Terakawa specializes in manufacturing, retail, pharmaceutical and technology industries. He belongs to the American Institute of CPAs and California Society of CPAs and is fluent in Japanese and Chinese.
Alyssa Schluter, CPA, Manager, Tax
Alyssa Schluter has been with Haskell & White for five years and has stood out for her attention to detail and knowledge of clients. She specializes in real estate as well as trusts and estates. Schluter holds a BA in mathematics from the University of California, San Diego and an MS in accounting from California State University, Fullerton.
Georgia Yu, CPA, Manager, Tax
Georgia Yu joined the firm in 2015 as an associate and has progressed to senior and now manager. Yu specializes in real estate and serving high-net-worth clients with a variety of tax strategies. Since coming to Haskell & White from a small CPA firm in Irvine three years ago, she has excelled as a tax accountant.
Micah Cabrera, In-Charge Associate, Auditing and Business Advisory Services
Micah Cabrera specializes in real estate auditing and possesses a unique ability to run client engagements start to finish. She will be seeing more client time in her new position. Cabrera has been with the firm for about two years after graduating from Vanguard University of Southern California, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and completing an internship at a regional accounting firm.
Sophia Haslim, In-Charge Associate, Tax
After working for two years at Haskell & White, including an internship with the firm, Sophia Haslim’s profile is being elevated to include project management responsibilities. She specializes in partnerships for developers and real estate companies.
Bryant Hui, In-Charge Associate, Auditing and Business Advisory Services
Regarded as an excellent team player, Bryant Hui has been with Haskell & White for two years. Before joining Haskell & White, he had two years’ experience working for two public accounting firms. He specializes in serving clients in the manufacturing and non-profit sectors as well as public companies.
Kassandra Lee, In-Charge Associate, Auditing and Business Advisory Services
Kassandra Lee has a background in real estate accounting which has been an asset to the firm since she started almost two years ago. She also serves life science and public companies. Lee holds a BS in biology/biological sciences from Chapman University and completed the accounting certification program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
