John McNair brings 15 years of corporate tax experience to Haskell & White, with deep expertise in C corporations, M&A transactions, and accounting for income taxes under ASC 740. After beginning his career at Haskell & White as a Tax Senior, John broadened his experience at Big 4 and national firms, including work with private and publicly traded companies and multinational organizations.

John specializes in helping clients navigate the tax complexities of mergers and acquisitions, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment from agreement through to final return. He is highly skilled in ASC 740 and tax provision work under both GAAP and IFRS, and has served clients across a range of industries including technology, biotech, construction, renewable energy, and retail.

Known for his strong work ethic and precise approach, John emphasizes accuracy, materiality, and a practical understanding of which tax issues truly impact a company’s bottom line. He takes pride in building long-term relationships with clients, learning their businesses, and collaborating with the right experts—inside and outside the firm—to support their growth.
