“Leadership means having access to our partners. From formation to operations to exit strategies, our real estate clients can tap into the power of a Haskell & White partner who specializes in their business.”
With Haskell & White since: 2005
Thomas has over 25 years of experience in public accounting. Prior to joining Haskell & White, Tom worked for both national and local CPA firms, including Ernst & Young, where he spent 7 years specializing in tax minimization for the real estate, hospitality and construction industries.
Throughout his career, Tom has worked principally with middle market, pass-through entities and has provided innovative tax planning and other specialized services for public and privately held companies, primarily servicing the real estate industry.
Tom’s understanding of the business and tax implications enables him to successfully navigate through each phase of a real estate business cycle. He works with each client throughout every phase of their business development, from establishing a new entity, operating a real estate business, and when the time is appropriate, designing an exit strategy that encompasses their objectives.
Tom designed and presented a technical training session for Law Seminars International on special partnership tax issues in today’s economy. He also writes articles on real estate tax issues, such as restructuring real estate debt and swap-and-drop transactions. He has been interviewed and quoted for expertise in Bloomberg and NREI Online.
