Mike Wintroub is a Tax Manager at Haskell & White and has over eight years of experience as a tax accountant in public accounting and private industry. After a three-year stint in the private sector, he returned to public accounting, working for a private equity fund and handling taxes for their international funds. His decision to return to public accounting was based on the need for work that provided new challenges consistently. He is motivated by providing our clients the best solutions.
After working at a national firm and another regional firm, he found a home at Haskell & White, where he is surrounded by bright, talented individuals with technical expertise and outstanding leaders who value their team. Mike’s primary focus is real estate, but he also has experience and expertise in manufacturing and multi-state taxes. He has experience helping companies with their core compliance, qualified opportunity zones, international tax, advising for foreign compliance, and calculating foreign withholding.
Mike loves the challenge of public accounting, and he is consistently learning. While working with clients, he strives to exceed client needs and expectations by taking a direct approach and guiding clients on decisions they need to make. In the manager’s role, Mike is responsible for meeting deadlines, responding to client requests and ensuring that clients’ questions are answered. As a leader in the firm, Mike is interested in helping younger professionals develop their careers and improving their skills daily.
Mike received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Cal State University Fullerton. Mike grew up in Southern California, and in his free time, he is mastering the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
